High performance barcode scanning

BI500 features a 1D/2D barcode scanner and an optional RFID reader with support for 13.56MHz high frequency (HF) RFID tags. The device’s GPS capability allows you to scan a bar code and simultaneously store the location. Successful readings are confirmed with a green LED light, vibration, and a beep.

BI500 weighs less 4 oz (110 grams) and fits easily in your pocket, adding ergonomic, high-speed barcode scanning to any Android, Apple iOS, and Windows mobile device. It increases productivity while reducing the risk for errors. The scanner communicates via Bluetooth, but can also be used in batch mode and stores up to 300,000 barcodes.

Industrial-grade durability

BI500 incorporates Bluebird’s proprietary TankSmith™ technology, which means it has been tested for maximum reliability in tough, industrial environments. It features a 1.5-meter (4 ft. 11in) drop specification and an IP54-rating protects it against splashes or water and dust.

SDK for easy integration

Bluebird’s software developer kit (SDK) makes it easy to integrate bar code scanning with the BI500 to any application.
